7/3/25 Pip was born outside to a very young cat and is the only surviving kitten from his litter. Pip and his mom were brought inside to be cared for as she was to young and was struggling to care for her kittens. The mom has been spayed and Purrs stepped in to help little Pip. He wasn’t gaining weight and at 12 weeks weighed only a little over 1 pound. He was treated for and recovered from an upper respiratory infection but still struggled to eat but he is a little warrior he didn’t give up and as tiny and undernourished as he was he had a huge personality. Back to the vet we go and he was started on special prescription food for debilitated animals. He is eating Hills A/D and Purina C/N which is very expensive but for the first time in is little life he was able to eat this food and he did it with gusto! With its smooth consistency it seemed to allow him to eat better and with the high calories he became a miracle. He has been on the A/D & C/N for 10 days and has already gained 1 pound and has a healthy weight now of 2 1/2 pounds and well on his way to the 3 pound mark. He requires small meals many times a day and is a demanding little guy when he wants food. Once he’s stabilized his weight we will investigate further with our vet for possible medical causes for his eating issue. He would love someone want to sponsor him and his care. If interested in sponsoring this sweet little guy please PM PurrsAbound@aol.com
