ABOUT BECOMING A FOSTER
Join Our Foster Program and together we can save another cat or Kitten
Whether you are an experienced cat lover or someone new to cats or the Siamese breed, you CAN make a difference. Please join today and together we can work toward finding every cat and kitten a permanent loving forever home and remove them from the terror of shelter life.
The number of Siamese that Purrs Abound Siamese Rescue is able to save is directly dependent on the number of foster homes that we have.
Our foster families ARE the backbone of Purrs Abound.
We are in desperate need of qualified foster families. People who will open their homes and hearts by taking in a cat or kitten and provide a safe and loving home while a permanent forever home is found.
If you're concerned that you'll become too attached to a foster and not be able to let go when an adopter is approved, WE HAVE AN OPTION!! Purrs Abound is deeply committed to helping seniors and special needs cats who may not find another forever home through adoption. Through our Retirement Community, Purrs Abound provides loving, forever homes with a families who are committed to providing love and care for the life of the cat AND Purrs Abound pays for all pre-approved veterinary care. This is a win-win situation for families who would like to add another cat to their home but may not have the money needed for veterinary care.
Are you interested in the Siamese breed but concerned about making a permanent commitment in case they aren't your "cup of tea"?
Consider fostering. If you have never lived with a Siamese, our volunteers are ready and willing to answer any questions you have and give you as much support as you need.
Purrs Abound pays for ALL
pre-approved
veterinary care for animals in our foster program
.
We take as much care in placing our Siamese into foster homes as we do with adopters. By this, I mean that we "match" the Siamese to suit your living style. If you have dogs, we would place only a
"dog savvy" Siamese with you. If you have small children, we would take care not to place a Siamese in your home who could be easily stressed by small humans.
We do ask that our foster families have email and phone access. Also, transportation to take foster kitties to vet appointments etc. A spare bedroom, laundry room, den, etc., that can be used as a temporary isolation area is a bonus.
Our foster application is available online by clicking

If fostering is not an option right now, please consider a donation. We welcome many items and cash can always help with vet bills, etc. We accept all major credit cards through the PayPal link below. Thank you in advance!
