Gretta was one of the lucky cats. Somehow, in her advanced years, Gretta found herself living outside, toothless and hardly able to take care of herself. However, Gretta was accidentally trapped in a trailer park along with other feral and semi-social cats that were part of a TNR effort. Immediately, the rescuers knew that this girl had, at some point, been someone's beloved pet. Gretta is phenomenal. She is beyond sweet and has energy in spurts that make her seem much younger than her advancing years. At one point, she had all of her teeth extracted, except for her 4 canines, probably due to stomatitis, a very painful oral condition. A vet exam has indicated that the remaining 4 teeth now need to be extracted due to infection but, first, we need to confirm whether a detected heart murmur is significant. Gretta had an echocardiogram performed on 09/19/2024 and we are waiting for results.
Any help with Gretta's expected vet expenses would be greatly appreciated. Her echo has already cost $695 and the upcoming dental extractions are estimated to cost an additional $800. Donations are always welcome and can be made via PayPal to purrsabound@aol.com or via Venmo using @Purrsabound. Thank you for your help!!! Gretta is so extremely happy to be back inside living the good life again!
