03/21/2024 We'd like to introduce a very special boy to you all, and ask for support in the care of the sweetest old man, Lando

Lando came to our rescue recently when his owners could no longer care for him. This big boy is around 14 years old and diabetic. We have Lando on Lantus and a diabetic friendly diet to control his blood sugars, and he is doing exceptionally well on it after some ups and downs with appetite issues. On top of his diabetes, he also has very early stage kidney disease, and some pretty severe arthritis. Thankfully, Lando has received his first dose of Solensia, an arthritis treatment, a couple of weeks ago, and he is already moving and feeling better. We are working on clearing up issues from poor grooming due to his arthritis, including mats and eye and nose boogies, and he's looking better and better each day.

Lando requires occasional bloodwork and vet exams for his senior issues, monthly Solensia injections, and the occasional glucose curve to check on his diabetes control. His care comes at a high cost, and he is worth every penny, but we could certainly benefit from a little assistance from our village of supporters. Please consider donating for this amazing boy - he deserves the happiest and most comfortable life here, and we are working hard to provide that for him.
